Hey there, I'm Emily.
I love to draw. I lean towards analog media that I can touch, to use my hands to get that organic feel that just doesn't show in digital work. As an illustrative designer, and I hope to add tactility and eccentricity to my practice, whether that's through painting, printing, or good old-fashioned ballpoint pen.
Nature is one of my primary influences, and I often find myself referring back to the California landscapes I explore in my free time. I illustrate to tell stories, taking inspiration from the likes of Mary Shelley and Emily Dickinson where nature, fantasy and wonder collide. I also love a good joke, so visual puns are never out of the question.
